wanlooi is a boutique professional services firm founded by a group of seasoned professionals with a shared vision and deep expertise in the field of audit, assurance and accounting. After the closure of a prominent Big 4 firm in Ipoh, Malaysia, our founder, Mr Looi Wan Koon and a few key members of that firm, came together to establish a new practice in 2024. With decades of combined experience, we are committed to delivering exceptional audit and accounting experience tailored to the unique needs of clients in this geography.

Our Services

Our core focus is on providing audit, assurance and accounting services to a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, plantation, quarry, IT services, and non-profit organisations. In addition to statutory and special audits catered to entities adopting either MFRSs or MPERS in Malaysia, we offer:

Accounting Advisory: Help and support clients perform accounting gap analysis, periodic financial reporting to those charged with Governance, bookkeeping and preparation of accounting schedules catered for statutory audit requirements and income tax submissions.
Secondment and Managed Services: Catered for non-routine and/or specialised functions including consolidation, pro forma and carved out accounting, deferred taxes, scenario based cash flow forecasts and etc.
Collation and Compilation Services: Preparation of statutory financial statements and accounting manual that conforms to MPERS, MFRSs or equivalent.
Agreed upon Procedures (“AUP”): Issuance of AUP report based on International Standards on Assurance Engagements (“ISAE”) or International Standards on Related Services (“ISRS”) standards. This includes Housing Development Accounts (“HDA") by housing developers, Accountants’ Report to Bar Council by solicitors and companies with Public Interest Schemes, auditor certification for tax incentives, revenue and/or EBITDA calculations for financial institutions and government agencies.
Financial Due Diligence, Fact Finding Exercise: Tailored procedures for a specific purpose including financial restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, evaluation of business growth strategies and divestitures.
